St. Michael’s Church, Pinhoe

There has been a church on, or very near this site for more than 1,000 years! In that time Pinhoe has changed many times, but in one way, shape or form, the church has been a constant part of the commuity!

On this page you will find some basic information about the church, our services, and how to get there.

We will be updating this page over the next few months to include more information on the history of the building and its place in the history of Pinhoe.

Our Services

We worship on a Sunday morning at 9:30am, sharing Holy Communion, using the Church of England Common Worship Liturgy. We love space for quiet reflection, and a good hymn!

We’re a very welcoming bunch and love to see people coming along, so if you’re curious or you’re looking for a more traditional service, please come along and give us a go!

If a more energetic, family friendly, contemporary service is more your thing, then maybe you could give Hope a go?

How to find us

You will find St. Michael’s at the end of Church Lane, off Church Hill in Pinhoe. You can find us easily on Google Maps, though Apple Maps does sometimes seem to struggle. See the map and full address below.

At the end of Church Lane you will find the church and church car park. It isn’t a massive car park, so if you live locally, you may want to consider walking when the weather is nice. There is a beautiful circular route off Harrington Lane that takes you through woodlands and a meadow! You can start from here or here. Both paths take you to the church.
